Day 8

Staying in this camp again tonight so we take time to cook breakfast instead of our usual granola bars in the car. Ron took the kids on a hike up to Avalanche Lake. They saw elk on the trail and lots of waterfalls at the lake. Rocco's not allowed on the trails so we went back to the river instead then back to the camp to relax. I read half a book! When everyone was back we had lunch then took off on our afternoon field trip - to Canada! The scenic drive across the park was amazing. Then lunch at Waterton National Park across the border followed by the long drive back to camp. Our little field trip took 7 hours! Back at camp dinner then bed before dark once more. Such long days up north!
